Water And Your Health Are Connected

Water and your health are closely connected. There cannot be good health when the water supply is unhealthy and polluted. Many countries in the world suffer from water pollution. There are foreign-aid associations that travel to these countries to assist with the building of wells so the inhabitants can have fresh drinking water. Many of the African countries are dry for much of the year. As a result the few available sources of water are shared by humans and livestock. Since livestock is so valuable, it would be unthinkable to ban the animals from drinking at the same streams that the humans use.

When Animals drink from the same supply of water as humans, it has the potential risk of inducing illness in the people forced to share the water supply. Fecal matter can very easily infest these water sources. Many aid organizations bring water sterilizers and filtering equipment in the hopes of making the water safe to drink. The aid organizations know about the connection between water and your health. It is very easy to become dehydrated, and small children and older people are especially vulnerable to this. The body requires plenty of water to function properly.
All the cells and organs of the body require water in order to be perfectly healthy. Dehydration affects all systems of the body in a detrimental manner. Human bodies are made up of approximately 70-90% water. When our water reserves are depleted the whole body is affected in a negative way. The human brain cannot function properly when it is dehydrated. Headaches often develop when the brain is not properly nourished with a plentiful water supply. This effect can often be seen by people who have had alcohol and developed a headache. Alcohol dehydrates the body and this is why the hangover develops in the morning. Many people do not realize that water and your health work hand-in-hand.
When the body does not have enough water the kidneys cannot do their job of getting rid of uric acid and other wastes. Many people who develop kidney stones do so because they are chronically dehydrated. Doctors will tell patients to drink more water to prevent kidney stones. Water and your health are intimately linked together. People with very dry skin can often find great relief by consuming more liquid in the form of water. Water and your health is a topic people should be aware of.
Water and your health are indeed connected in every way. When more water is consumed many individuals find that they are able to lose the weight that had been plaguing them for years. The skin will take on a new glow when the body is properly hydrated. Older individuals are often at risk for dehydration because they are not very mobile and cannot easily make it to the bathroom. These individuals then consume less liquid to prevent possible accidents. They do not realize they are doing more harm than good. Water and your health is an important issue that everyone should know about.
